Simple Tips to Maintain Your Skin

As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. When it comes to your face, it's better to keep your body in good shape by following a healthy lifestyle than to try and fix problems after they arise. For good skin:
  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet that includes green vegetables and protein-rich food and minimal processed food. Dark green vegetables and lean protein help with the regeneration of cells.
  • Get at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. Cultivate a before-bed routine to help you fall asleep quickly and consistently.
  • Fruit is very good for your skin, as it is rich in fiber, vitamins, and water. Fruit is great for healing digestive issues as well as skin problems.
  • Maintain your skin hygiene. Clean your face at the end of the day to wash away any pollution. Wash your face with a cleanser suitable for your skin type, avoiding soap. Soap contains sodium carbonate which dries out the skin.
  • Wipe off your makeup with either a makeup remover or a light carrier oil before going to sleep.
  • Massage a light oil like almond oil in your face, neck, hands, and any part of your body which is exposed to the elements. Almond oil nourishes your skin and keeps it healthy. If possible you can massage your entire body with almond oil.
  • Avoid prolonged stress, which can result in dull, lifeless skin and wrinkles.
  • Exercise regularly. Not only does physical activity reduce stress levels, it improves circulation, giving your skin a healthy glow.
