Live: Fresh explosions in Brussels, suspect wounded and arrested; major anti-terror raid underway

Two blasts were heard during a police house search in Schaarbeek.
Two explosions were heard during a police search of a house in Brussels borough of Schaerbeek, Belga news agency said on Friday.
The house search in Schaarbeek is part of an ongoing investigation following multiple bombing attacks which killed at least 31 people and wounded 316. According to reports, bomb disposal experts were on the site while the major raid was happening.

Confirming the police raid, Schaerbeek's Mayor Bernard Clerfayt told AFP, "I can confirm a police operation targeting a person who was intercepted by police and suffered a slight leg injury."
Bernard Clerfayt said the person was linked to bomb attacks in Brussels and to a foiled plot this week near Paris. Heavily armed police and military with trucks cordoned off an area around a major intersection and three blasts were heard which Clerfayt said were controlled explosions.
Broadcaster RTL quoted a witness as saying police approached a person at a bus stop and asked the person to remove a jacket.
"No doubt to check if the person had an explosives belt strapped on," the witness told RTL. The witness said it was not clear if the person had been wounded, but was lying on the ground and talking to the police.
Belgium suffered terrorist attacks on Tuesday leading to death of 34 people. The security level has been at the highest level since the attack.
The security agencies are yet to find the masterminds behind the attack and the world, still in shock is putting together pieces of the episode. Here is what we know so far about the attack and its aftermath.
The Belgian Police has arrested six people in connection with airport and metro suicide bombings in Brussels, while the authorities in France said they thwarted a militant plot 'that was at an advanced stage' there.
