Important Things You Need To Know Before Doing Lip Injection+
Fuller lips are very much the “in” thing in 2016. Girls are no longer content with the pert lips their mothers gave them, and instead want to emphasise one of their most intimate and alluring body parts.
But although lip injections work for some women, they don’t work for everyone. If you’re considering getting lip injections but have a few reservations, here are some important things you need to know before you do lip injections.

It Isn’t Cheap – So Think Carefully!
You probably know that enhancing your breasts costs money, and maybe you think that something as small as your upper and bottom lips can be done for a lot less.
Unfortunately, you’d be wrong.
Lip injections can cost up to as much as $2,000. Although they can also cost as little as $500, it really depends where you live, as well as the quality of the doctor you’re seeing.
The old saying that “you get what you pay for” has surely never been truer when it comes to altering your looks. Think carefully about how much you’re willing to spend – and get saving now!

Fillers Don’t Last Forever
When women get their breasts enhanced, their breasts usually stay enhanced for around five or ten years…
Unfortunately, the same is not true of lip injections.
You can expect your lips to stay looking full for as much as six months absolutely tops. If, however, you have a thin frame, your lips might reduce in size after just three months. It all depends how quickly they metabolise the formula.
So if you’re only going to get your lips injected once, do it for the few months when you really want a striking look.

Lip Injections Work Instantly
The good thing about lip injections is that, while they don’t last too long, they do at least start working almost instantly. Once you have had your fillers, you should see pleasing results within 24 hours. At first, your lips will be swollen but the effects of the fillers will soon start to show through. Your lips should settle down after about 24 hours, after which point you can enjoy your new, bigger lips for the next few months. Awesome.

They Feel Totally Natural!
One of the biggest concerns most women have before they get lip injections is that they’re afraid their lips won’t feel natural anymore.
“I’m worried I won’t be able to talk properly,” they say. Or, “I’m worried I won’t be able to kiss properly anymore!”
The good news is that your newly enhanced lips shouldn’t feel any different to how your lips feel right now! This means that they feel totally natural and normal, whether you’re speaking, eating – or even kissing.

Lip Injections Will Hurt – But Only At First
Just like you expect some pain from a tattoo, you have to be prepared for a little bit of pain from lip injections.
Pain for pleasure and all that!
When the procedure starts, you will feel a pinch of pain before it starts to sting as the doctor administers the filler. This stinging sensation is only temporary, though, and will start to ease once your doctor ices them and massages them post-injection.
After that, you’re free to carry on with your day as normal.

You Decide How Full Your Lips Get
Mercifully, there is no such thing as “full lips” and “thin lips.” You don’t need to let the doctor choose how full your lips get, but instead you get to choose.
Especially if the doctor is working with hylauronic acid fillers, it’s really easy to control how much is put into your lips so that you don’t need to worry about going from natural to “OMG! YOU’VE GOT DUCK LIPS!”
Your doctor will let you keep tabs on how you’re looking during the process and will ask you whether you want more, or whether you’re done.
Not Everyone Can Get Lip Injections
Not every woman is a candidate because some come with more risk factors than others. If you suffer from bleeding disorders, active inflammation, diabetes, allergies or facial nerve disorders, you most likely won’t be considered because of the various side effects.
The ideal candidate for lip injections are women and girls who have thin lips.

You Need To Keep A Lid On Your Expectations
It can be really tempting to feel as though your expectations haven’t quite been met the first time you get your lips enhanced. Your new lips okay but you wanted them to a bit bigger.
This might mean that you return to the doctor at a later date and get them enhanced again.
And again.
And again.
The last thing you want is an overly unnatural look. As such, it’s better that you are able to manage your expectations of what is possible and looks nice – and what is pretty much impossible and looks ridiculous.

There Are Risks
There are risks involved with lip injections. Although it’s classed as a fairly simple procedure, there are minor side effects that affect some people. These include redness, bruising, infection, swelling, stiffening of the lip, allergic reaction, scarring or prolonged pain. Sometimes, bumps appear, as well as anomalous asymmetries.
However, lip injections are increasing in popularity partly because they’re a LOT safer than they used to be. Moreover, most side effects are temporary and eventually wear off.
If, after your lip injection you develop a fever or  experience extreme swelling, call your doctor immediately.
Good luck with your decision, and if you get new lips enjoy them!
