They said forces immediately took control of the area after the attack and tightened the security measures.
In the past, similar attacks have been launched by militants on forces services from across the border which, sometimes, turns the situation tense on the border.

Meanwhile, a policeman was killed and a passer-by injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast near a police check-post in Peshawar.
SSP operations Abbas Majeed Marwat said that half a kilogram of explosive material was planted near a check-post in Samar Bagh area of the city.
The explosion killed an on-duty policeman and injured a passer-by.
The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital.
Additional security personnel reached the area and cordoned off the blast site.
CTD ARRESTS ALLEGED AFGHAN TERRORIST
The Peshawar Counter Terrorism Department arrested an alleged Afghan terrorist during a search operation in Peshawar on Thursday.
On a tip-off, CTD conducted a raid at a hideout in Peshawar and arrested the Afghan terrorist identified as Ismail.
CTD said the suspect was wanted in an IED bomb attack on a cycle rally on Jan 24.
The suspect was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
