Yeah, you heard it right. It’s now possible to turn your laptop into a Wifi Hotspot. From today, after reading this post, I bet you will never look for Wifi routers again anywhere. Your Laptop will do that job for you. With the required software’s that I’ll be sharing with you guys in this post, you will be able to transmit Wifi Signals from your laptop and make a Wifi Hotspot from it. You can set Id and Password for security and connect to your mobiles, other laptops, tablets , and other electronic devices which will support Wifi ability.
Laptop actually has the ability to receive Wifi signals, also many of them didn’t knew, but it can also transmit Wifi Signals, so the advantage we will be having with our laptops is, we can use it as a Wifi itself as long as the laptop is switched on ( also, Os is running) it can emit constant signals without any disturbance. Many developers took the advantage of this technology in laptops and have created various software’s that will help emit these signals and create a Wifi Hotspot from that laptop.
Some of the softwares that will help in creating a Hotspot are :
1. Connectify
Apparently, this is the most famous software we get in internet. It’s not free though, you have to purchase this software in order to use it’s full functionality. You will also get a trial version that you can download it from their official website. To download the software, CLICK HERE .
Step 1:

Step 2:
After downloading the software, open it and install it. you’ll find this random popup, just click on the install and it’ll do the rest for you.
Step 3:
Later after installation gets finished, it’ll ask you to reboot. You can reboot it immediately or you can do that later, but it’s recommended to do it then itself, or else you cannot run Connectify. It’s required to reboot as the changes the software does internally will take place after this reboot.
Step 4:
Later when you open the software, you’ll find these permissions, don’t worry, these permissions will not harm your computer in anyways. They’re just asking to allow communication with your network. Tick the first box, second box is of your choice, but make sure of the first one, and click on allow access.
Step 5:
You’ll find 3 options, Try it out, Buy Now, Already Bought, click on the Try it out, and you’ll find this window, click try now again and finally your Connectify will open.
Step 6:
Finally, choose your Hot spot name and password and click on Start Hotspot.
Search for the same network name from your mobile device or any other devices which support Wifi, you’ll be able to connect it by entering the default password or the one which you have given. Enjoy wifi for free! :)

Step 1:
Download the software and install it. It’s pretty, and there’s no extra tasks to do. After installation, open it and you’ll find something like this pic.
Step 2:
After installing you’ll find this window. Simply enter your own name for your wifi and set the password and click on the start hotspot and you’re done. Also check the internet source, as of now, I’m using Wifi so I opted for wifi, you select Ethernet as your source. You’ll find wifi hotspot on your devices after you start it. So Simple isn’t it :D ?
Another awesome software I have found out is called as MyPublic Wifi.

Same thing as before, download and install, you’ll find this software as this picture below:
Directly click on Set up and Start Hotspot. If you want to change the Network name ( Name of the Wifi ), change it and change the password also as per your wish and click Set Up. And done, you get free Wifi from now. Make sure you don’t off your Laptop or else you won’t be getting signals.
